International Studies Association

The International Studies Association (ISA) was founded by a group of scholars and practitioners in 1959 to pursue mutual interests in international studies. Representing eighty countries, ISA has over three thousand members worldwide and is the most respected and widely known scholarly association in this field. ISA publishes five premier academic journals (International Studies Quarterly, International Studies Review, Foreign Policy Analysis, International Political Sociology, and International Interactions), and co-sponsors a sixth (International Studies Compendium).[1]

International Studies Quarterly is its flagship journal. Foreign Policy Analysis, a peer reviewed academic journal sponsored by the ISA and published by Wiley-Blackwell. It focusses on foreign policy analysis, a research area within International Relations. FPA publishes articles on foreign policy processes and outcomes using a variety of theoretical perspectives and methodological techniques. As of October 1, 2009, the Editor in Chief is A. Cooper Drury of the University of Missouri.
